We took her for a good run up East Canyon in the morning. Satisfying this uber-athletic pup with bottomless energy entails having her run in front of the truck for 4-5 miles (she averages 15 to 20 mph), parking and walking with her for 3 more, and then topping that off with another 4-5 mile sprint homeward. She really is an amazing animal. Beautiful to watch.
(I had to throw this picture in of Ellie and me on the walk. Red is a good color for her I think.)Then we came home to party hats and presents. She got two squeaky sheep - one to lose and one to hopefully keep. She LOVED them. If she had pants she would have peed them she was so excited. (just to clarify, we didn't have any accidents)
After such an exciting day she passed out in front of the fire. She has a good life.
